I grew up in a foster home where my father was a fire fighter and I fell in love with the profession. I joined the Navy and became a shipboard fire fighter. I got my fire science degree upon discharge, and volunteered as a fire fighter before being hired full-time upon graduation. I enjoy softball, wake boarding, snow boarding and rock climbing.
